Custom Diamondback
Despite space-age materials, computer models of rod tapers, and high-tech manufacturing processes, designing and building a rod blank of exceptional quality is still more art than science. Nobody understands that art better than Diamondback.
Since their beginnings as a custom fly rod manufacturer in the mountains of Vermont, Diamondback has gathered and teamed up with some of the industry's most experience and respected fisherman and rod designers. The result is rod blanks that are unequaled in performance and workmanship.
Diamondback's creed is to produce rod blanks that offer light weight, high performance, and a balanced feel. Strength and durability are also key elements in Dimondback's designs, and is achieved in the taper of the rod blank. When a light weight balanced feel meets the correct taper, design, and action, the foundation for a great fishing rod is made.
Custom St Croix
St Croix continues to be a leader in developing quality rod blanks that are American made. St Croix’s new SCIV line of rod blank (same blank used in the Tournament Series fishing rods) is a design that could change the way blanks are currently made. The new technology in this blank has allowed St Croix to build a rod blank that is up to 10 times stronger without adding weight.
Custom Edge Series
The Edge Series continues to be one of the best buys in custom fishing rods.
The Edge Series offers a high quality custom built fishing rod minus the price of major manufactured price. I am proud of this line because it offers exactly what I was looking for when I started to build fishing rods which is a quality fishing rod built to the exact specification of the person buying it at an affordable price. There is always room in my boat for this fishing rod.
